While the city records show our school officially started in 1919, our records show 1918 as the start date. We believe Beacon Christian School unofficially started at that time.
The school was originally built on 8th Avenue, but in 1972, a new building was completed at its present Stewart Avenue location.
Upper Columbia Conference of Seventh-day Adventists oversees its parochial schools in the inland Northwest, which are part of a world-wide, accredited system of church school organizations. The school has always included grades one through eight. Presently, it is operating a Kindergarten through tenth grade program.
